Situated on a welcoming farm near Wisemans Ferry, this beautifully restored early 1800s sandstone home and former inn was built by the first convicts. The two-storey homestead features four spacious guest rooms, comfortably sleeping 8 guests. An interconnecting room on the second floor, offers the opportunity for 2 further guests (additional costs apply). Modern bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a cosy lounge with open fireplace lead onto a sweeping verandah. Beyond the verandah are Tuscan style gardens and a refreshing 12-metre stone swimming pool. Guests can enjoy the tranquility of relaxing on the verandah, swimming in the pool or river, or exploring the 150-acre property and broader historic region.

Sitting just 5 km outside of the rustic village of Wisemans Ferry, Cross Park is minutes from the region’s historic landmarks. Spend an afternoon exploring the country’s most famous waterway known for the cable ferry connecting Wisemans Ferry with the historical Old Great North Road.


Activities and adventures abound at Cross Park. For those who love the water, head to the pool or river for a swim - you can even paddle along the river in supplied kayaks. A boat ramp allows for water sports such as skiing and for casting your fishing line. Animal lovers will find a plethora of animal-centric activities such as pony rides for the little ones as well petting and feeding the farm animals in their natural habitats.


Guests of the homestead have access to the residence, outdoor living spaces, certain farm areas, swimming pool, river, and private beach. Swim or relax by the pool, enjoy a leisurely walk along the river or explore the 150-acre grounds.


Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the onsite manager and introduced to the homestead and grounds. During their stay, guests can explore and discover the beauty and idyllic life of Cross Park on their own.


Guests are encouraged to bike or hike the property, nearby Divines Hill historical hike loop and local areas to discover sweeping panoramic views, popular vistas and flowing waterways.


Rates start at $800 per night for mid-week stays. Special rates for one-off events, corporate retreats and holiday gatherings are available.

Many couples find our little slice of heaven ideal for a romantic getaway, or the perfect spot for a pre-wedding photo shoot. Larger groups can enjoy all the Homestead has to offer and children love interacting with the farm animals. Rates include linen and cleaning costs and a complementary late checkout (4pm) on your day of departure.
