Like many Australians, we're quite grateful to see the back of this summer. It has certainly been a testing time with both fires and then floods impacting so many.

I'm pleased to say that Cross Park escaped any serious impact and is looking as beautiful as ever. With the extremes of summer behind us, we are looking forward to cooler days, and nights.

Autumn is definitely one of the Goldilocks seasons - not too hot and not too cold.

The water is at it's best

If you love spending time on the river or in the pool, the water temperature is beautiful. Cooler days make spending time by the pool or a picnic lunch and siesta on the beach even more enjoyable. For those with children or dogs - both just love it down at the beach.

Autumns at Cross Park are best spent enjoying the warm days by the pool, water sports on the river, and chilled afternoons on the verandas.

The colours ...

As the leaves start to fall, the colours of the changing landscape around us are just spectacular. With fire bans hopefully behind us, guests can enjoy spending an evening around the open fire pit at the Homestead or the beach.

There's also so much to do in the surrounding area. Fruit picking nearby is a great way to spend a day out, and now that the heat is going out of the days, bush walking through the adjoining national park is far more pleasurable.
